Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - Pediatric Emergency Department

Location: Neptune, New Jersey
Employment Type: Clinical
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Provide specialized and innovative care in the Pediatric Emergency Department (ED).
Handle a variety of emergency and trauma situations requiring quick, decisive actions.
Assess incoming pediatric patients with physical and mental health conditions.
Prioritize injuries and medical needs accurately and efficiently.

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum 18 months of nursing experience in a pediatric ED environment.
Recent ED experience within the past six months.
Strong clinical knowledge and analytical skills to develop effective nursing care plans.
Ability to perform a wide range of professional nursing services.
Effective communication skills with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Education Requirements

Required: ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing)
Preferred: BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)

Required Certifications & Licensure

NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license
BLS (Basic Life Support) - American Heart Association
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - American Heart Association
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - American Heart Association
NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) - CEU Contact Stroke 4 Hours
Telemetry certification

Preferred Certifications

NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - American Heart Association
ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
