Job Overview

Seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to provide competent and appropriate nursing care in a critical care setting. The role involves comprehensive patient assessment, direct patient care, documentation, patient education, and collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough and systematic patient assessments across all age groups (Pediatric to Geriatric).
• Deliver competent clinical nursing care, including emergency procedures and use of emergency equipment.
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation of nursing processes and patient progress.
• Uphold professional practice standards and adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
• Promote patient and family satisfaction by responding professionally and maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals, including patient identification protocols and safe transfer techniques.
• Demonstrate knowledge of surgical patient care, anesthesia types, and perioperative procedures.
• Prioritize and direct patient care based on patient needs and condition changes.
• Provide pre-operative and postoperative patient education and assessments.
• Support timely completion and evaluation of Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year ICU experience (Required)
• Valid RN License (Required)
• BLS Certification (Required)
• ACLS Certification (Required)
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (Preferred)

Contract Length

• Approximately 52 weeks (1 year)

Physical Requirements

• As defined by Occupational Safety/OMS standards.
