CT Technologist Travel Position

Location: Mount Pleasant, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel (Clinical-Allied-Travel)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Perform CT scans under the supervision of certified radiologists to produce diagnostic images.
• Assist radiologists during procedures and supervise student Radiologic Technologists.
• Maintain good patient and customer relations.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure patient care and safety during imaging procedures using age-appropriate care.
• Follow established protocols and obtain correct written orders for procedures.
• Efficiently use imaging equipment to minimize repeat exams and control costs.
• Prepare and instruct patients on imaging procedures; assist with informed consent.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists, patients, and family members.
• Adhere to hospital and safety policies, including radiation safety (ALARA principles).
• Maintain licensure and complete mandatory in-services annually.
• Assist other imaging team members and support departmental goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and manual dexterity required.
• Exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, radiation, and chemicals.
• Work may involve stressful conditions, deadlines, irregular hours, call, weekends, and holidays.
• Noise level ranges from quiet to moderate.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited Allied Health program preferred.
• Successful completion of an accredited Computed Tomography program preferred.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification required or South Carolina Radiographer Certification (SCRQSA).
• ARRT CT certification preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist required.

Skills & Knowledge

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to perform and teach CT exams to produce diagnostic images.
• Knowledge of OSHA, DHEC, FDA, and TJC standards and regulations.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment.

Prior Travel Experience

• Not explicitly required.
