Job Opportunity: CT Tech - CPRH Cat Scan

Job Summary

• Perform routine and specialized CT and diagnostic radiology examinations.
• Adapt procedures to obtain specific diagnostic and/or therapeutic results under radiologist direction.
• Prepare patients for examinations and ensure accurate and complete imaging.
• Assist radiologists with invasive procedures, sterile tray setup, catheter and guidewire handling.
• Obtain and document accurate pre- and post-procedure information.
• Follow patient safety goals and maintain quality care throughout procedures.
• Perform patient bedside lab testing and quality control as ordered.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CT and diagnostic radiology equipment safely and effectively.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and report problems appropriately.
• Maintain clean and stocked work areas; ensure all supplies and accessories are available.
• Process images and paperwork promptly to ensure timely reporting.
• Coordinate patient flow efficiently, including patient transport as needed.
• Complete all required documentation accurately in PACS and Radiology systems.
• Maintain a safe environment and support QA, QC, and QI programs.
• Train and mentor fellow technologists and students, promoting a professional and respectful learning environment.
• Use time and resources efficiently to prevent waste and improve department operations.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a CT Tech.
• Basic reading, writing, and oral English skills.
• Accountability and multicultural sensitivity.
• Customer and patient-focused approach.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Critical thinking and independent judgment skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and communicate professionally.
• Ability to interact effectively with a wide variety of people.

Education Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology (required).

Certifications & Licensure

• Radiography (R) (ARRT) certification.
• IEMA Radiography License (Illinois).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Computed Tomography (CT) (ARRT) certification.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks (approximately 3 months).
