Occupational Therapist - New Mexico (Clovis)

Job Summary

  • Plan and implement specific treatment programs for individual patients based on Occupational Therapy principles and practices.
  • Evaluate and treat patients using a variety of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of function, occupation, and developmental disorders.
  • Oversee comprehensive rehabilitation programs addressing physical, cognitive, psychosocial, and environmental well-being.
  • Promote patient and caregiver self-determination by optimizing use of outside resources to achieve maximum independence.
  • Coordinate and communicate with multiple disciplines or services involved in patient care.
  • Work towards discharge goals established at initial evaluation and throughout the episode of care.
  • Evaluate and treat both Acute Care Inpatient and Outpatient populations, with a primary focus on Outpatient.
  • Floating between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles is required.

Contract Length

  • 26 weeks

Required Experience

  • Minimum 2 years current experience as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience in Home Health Care (HHC), Outpatient (OP), and Acute care settings.
  • At least one previous 13-week travel assignment (prior travel experience required).

Education

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Preferred: Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy.

Certifications & Licensure

  • New Mexico state Occupational Therapist license.
  • BLS certification required (must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross).

Additional Requirements

  • Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to a fast-paced environment.
  • EPIC experience preferred; training available on-site.
