Job Opportunity: CT Technologist

Location: Hillsborough, North Carolina
Employment Type: Clinical-Allied
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Perform procedures and tests using Computerized Tomography (CT) equipment to acquire and analyze diagnostic data.
• Verify patient identification, obtain patient history, assist patients and family members requiring extra attention, and ensure patient safety.
• Obtain CT images per protocols, manipulate images, perform multi-planar and 3D reconstructions, and select appropriate settings based on anatomy.
• Administer oral and IV contrast to adult and pediatric patients following protocols and safety procedures, including checking lab values before contrast injection.
• Manage image transfer and quality control using PACS, EMR, EPIC, and IMPAX systems, ensuring accurate patient and billing information.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, document incidents for improvement, and precept new employees and students.

Required Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science.
• Must be registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences (ARRS). Registry eligible candidates must provide a diploma from an accredited program.
• Advanced certification in CT required.
• Must become registered within one year of employment and maintain registry status with continuing education annually.
• Current competency in Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (HCP BLS) required.

Experience Requirements

• Prior education, training, and experience sufficient to perform assigned tasks.
• Years of experience in specialty: Not explicitly stated; assume minimum required by certification standards.
