Job Opportunity: CT Technologist

Location: Mount Pleasant, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel Contract

Job Summary

As a CT Technologist, you will perform computerized tomography scans under the supervision of certified radiologists to produce diagnostic images. You will assist radiologists during procedures, supervise student radiologic technologists, and maintain excellent patient care and safety throughout imaging processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CT imaging procedures following established protocols and physician orders.
• Ensure patient safety and provide age-appropriate care during imaging.
• Prepare and instruct patients on imaging procedures, assist with informed consent, and communicate effectively with patients and families.
• Supervise and assist student technologists in clinical education.
• Maintain accurate records, ensure correct orders and clinical history are entered, and communicate effectively with radiologists.
• Adhere to radiation safety standards (ALARA principles) and comply with hospital and regulatory policies (OSHA, DHEC, FDA, TJC).
• Assist other imaging team members and departments as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
• Handle frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and exposure to blood, body fluids, radiation, and infectious materials.
• May require working under stressful conditions, irregular hours, weekends, holidays, and on-call duties.

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in South Carolina
• Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification
• Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers certification
• High school diploma or GED
• Knowledge of OSHA, DHEC, FDA, and TJC standards and regulations

Contract Length

• Approximately 15 weeks (interpreted from contract_length value).

Additional Information

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to perform and teach CT exams to produce high-quality diagnostic images is preferred.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and safe operation of CT and post-processing equipment required.
• Must be able to work independently, take initiative, and contribute to departmental improvements.
