Job Opportunity: CT Tech - RMH Imaging

Location: Olney, Illinois
Employment Type: Clinical-Allied
Contract Length: 20 weeks

Job Description

• Perform CT and radiographic procedures ensuring accurate and complete examinations for patients of all ages.
• Exhibit competency in performing and filming CT and radiographic procedures, adapting as needed based on patient condition or radiologist requests.
• Assist radiologists with invasive procedures, sterile tray setup, catheter and guidewire handling, and ordering labs and pathology tests.
• Obtain and document accurate pre- and post-procedure information.
• Follow JCAHO patient safety goals and maintain quality care throughout procedures.
• Perform patient bedside lab testing and quality control in compliance with medical orders and hospital policies.
• Maintain knowledge of CT and diagnostic radiology equipment operation, perform troubleshooting, and ensure equipment safety and maintenance.
• Manage patient flow efficiently, including transporting patients as needed.
• Accurately complete all required documentation in PACS and Radiology systems.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff and support QA, QC, and QI programs.
• Provide training and guidance to fellow technologists and students, promoting a professional and productive learning environment.
• Use resources productively to promote cost-effective patient care and assist with departmental duties such as equipment cleaning and testing.

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in Illinois
• Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
• Radiology Technologist experience
• ARRT certification
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• College Diploma in a related field OR Certificate of completion in Radiologic Technology
