Description

Job Opportunity: RN Procedural - Electrophysiology Lab

Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Under general supervision, provide nursing care in a specialty area focused on electrophysiology procedures. Core responsibilities include:

Managing an assigned group of patients
Documenting patient responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments
Assisting physicians with patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
Monitoring physiological data and intervening as necessary
Administering prescribed medications
Initiating, regulating, and monitoring intravenous infusions and blood products
Delivering competent patient care
Communicating care plans with patients and families during hospitalization and at discharge
Overseeing treatment provided by technicians or other service providers
Making referrals regarding patient care needs
Delegating tasks to support staff
Performing other assigned duties

Required Qualifications

Experience

Minimum 1 year of Electrophysiology Lab nursing experience within the last year
Experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment

Education

Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing required

Licensure & Certifications

Valid RN license in Oklahoma
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
