Description

Assistant Director of Nursing - Travel

Location: Rochester, Minnesota
Employment Type: Travel, Clinical Nursing
Shift: Full-time, Monday to Friday, Day Shift
Contract Length: 14 weeks


Job Summary

The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) is responsible for the overall supervision of nursing care in assisted living. This role supports the Director of Nursing by overseeing nursing staff and ensuring the highest quality of care for residents. The ADON manages the increasing complexity and demands of the nursing department, ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, and supports occupancy growth and staffing plans.


Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Minnesota
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Assistant Director of Nursing
  • Assistant Director of Nursing experience within the last year
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Experience in leadership roles
  • Familiarity with Minnesota healthcare regulations
  • Experience in long-term care

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in nursing, business, or a health-related field

Additional Information

  • No prior travel experience explicitly required.
  • The position involves working in either assisted living or skilled nursing facility settings, with no requirement to have knowledge of both.
