Location: Moncks Corner, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 10 weeks

Job Summary

As a CT Technologist, you will perform computerized tomography imaging under the supervision of radiologists to assist in diagnosing patient conditions. Responsibilities include producing diagnostic images, assisting radiologists during procedures, and supervising student technologists. The role requires strong patient care skills and adherence to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CT imaging procedures following established protocols and physician orders.
• Ensure patient safety and provide age-appropriate care during imaging.
• Prepare and instruct patients on procedures, assist with informed consent, and communicate effectively with patients and families.
• Maintain accurate documentation of orders, diagnoses, and clinical history.
• Adhere to radiation safety standards and regulatory guidelines (ALARA principles, OSHA, DHEC, FDA, TJC).
• Assist in clinical education of student technologists.
• Collaborate with imaging team members and other departments to maintain records and support operations.
• Handle physical demands including frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and exposure to bloodborne pathogens and radiation.
• May require working under stressful conditions, irregular hours, weekends, holidays, and on-call duties.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiology Technologist license in South Carolina
• Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
• ARRT or SCRQSA certification
• Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers certification
• High school diploma or GED
• Experience in supervisory roles
• Demonstrated ability to perform and teach CT exams to produce quality diagnostic images
• Knowledge of OSHA, DHEC, FDA, and TJC standards and regulations

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Frequent standing, walking, and patient handling (lifting/moving up to 50 lbs).
• Exposure to infectious materials, radiation, and chemicals.
• Requires good manual dexterity, hearing, and vision (corrected to normal).
• Work may involve moderate noise levels and stressful conditions.
