Registered Nurse - General Surgery

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides specialized nursing care using knowledge from biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Care is culturally based and age-specific, following the American Nursing Association (ANA) code of ethics and the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.

Unit Overview:

Fast-paced, 39-bed unit with all-private rooms
Provides specialized care for patients undergoing general surgery, ENT procedures, and medical overflow
Offers a solid clinical foundation in medical-surgical nursing
Team-oriented and supportive environment suitable for both experienced nurses and new graduates

Ability to provide age- and culturally-specific patient care and education
Effective communication with peers using appropriate channels while maintaining confidentiality
Commitment to maintaining competence and continuing professional growth
Ability to accept and implement change and work in a culturally diverse setting

Education

Diploma of Nursing (required)
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
