Description
RN Labor and Delivery
Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
Job Summary
Provides nursing care to patients with a range of health problems from simple to complex under general supervision. Responsibilities include:
- Managing an assigned group of patients
- Documenting patient responses and changes in physician orders
- Assisting physicians with examinations and minor procedures
- Monitoring physiological data and intervening as needed
- Administering medications, intravenous infusions, and blood products
- Communicating care plans with patients and families
- Referring patient care needs to appropriate personnel
- Delegating tasks to support staff
Required Qualifications
Education
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited school
Licenses & Certifications
- Valid RN license in Oklahoma
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Experience
- Minimum Level 1 experience required
- At least 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
