Description
Registered Nurse - Mother Baby Unit
Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Staffing - Supplier Sourced
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Provide nursing care in an inpatient environment focused on mother-baby antepartum and nursery areas. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for postpartum patients, including both mothers and infants.
Work Schedule
- Rotating shifts as needed (07:00-19:30 or 19:00-07:30)
- Every other weekend as needed
- Coverage required on July 4th
- Shifts may not be grouped consecutively
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin
- Minimum 2 years of Maternal-Newborn nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients
- Clinical competence in postpartum care including hemorrhage, cesarean sections, vaginal deliveries, magnesium sulfate administration, and breastfeeding
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional coursework and/or certifications in Maternal-Newborn Nursing and/or Inpatient Obstetrics
- Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) experience is ideal but not required
Additional Information
- Prior travel experience is not specified as required
- The role involves care primarily for adult postpartum patients and newborns in a hospital inpatient setting
