Job Opportunity: Speech-Language Pathologist - Pediatrics

Location

Urbana, Illinois

Position Details

Employment Type: Clinical Allied Health
Shift: Day
Hours: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
Contract Length: 26 weeks

Job Summary

Evaluate and treat patients of all ages with speech and feeding-related impairments.
Conduct assessments and administer standardized testing to determine level of function compared to age-related norms.
Collect and integrate case history information from patients, families, caregivers, teachers, and other professionals.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.
Educate patients and caregivers on home programs and activities.
Collaborate with pediatric physical and occupational therapists on treatment interventions.
Complete daily documentation and billing in therapy electronic medical records.
Fulfill annual clinical ladder requirements for senior status, including student supervision, project completion, and in-service training.

Required Qualifications

Valid Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist license in Illinois
Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Minimum of 1 year of pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist experience within the last year
Master’s Degree in a related field
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist
