Registered Nurse - Oncology Outpatient

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Days (8 hours per day, 40 hours per week)
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Job Summary

• Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards.
• Coordinate and deliver patient care using the nursing process in an outpatient oncology infusion setting.
• Care for patients receiving chemotherapy and immunotherapy infusions.
• Promote a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to evaluate and plan patient care.
• Assess patient and family readiness to learn and provide patient education.
• Perform bedside point of care testing as required.
• Prioritize and organize care for patients with complex problems.
• Participate in professional growth, performance improvement, and cost-effective care initiatives.
• Develop relationships with patients’ families to support advocacy and discharge planning.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• Hematology / Oncology (2 years of experience)
• Hematology / Oncology experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Infusion experience
