Registered Nurse - Oncology Outpatient
Location
- Raleigh, North Carolina
Job Type
- Clinical Nursing
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Days (8 hours per day, 40 hours per week)
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Job Summary
- Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards.
- Coordinate and deliver patient care using the nursing process in an outpatient oncology infusion setting.
- Care for patients receiving chemotherapy and immunotherapy infusions.
- Promote a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to evaluate and plan patient care.
- Assess patient and family readiness to learn and provide patient education.
- Perform bedside point of care testing as required.
- Prioritize and organize care for patients with complex problems.
- Participate in professional growth, performance improvement, and cost-effective care initiatives.
- Develop relationships with patients’ families to support advocacy and discharge planning.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- Hematology / Oncology (2 years of experience)
- Hematology / Oncology experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Infusion experience
