Radiologic Technologist - Computed Tomography

Location

• Rochester, Michigan

Job Summary

• Perform computerized tomographic (CT) radiological procedures under general supervision.
• May perform general diagnostic radiology examinations.
• Prepare patients and explain examination procedures.
• Review clinical data and obtain additional patient history as needed.
• Set up equipment, perform CT scans, and manually control equipment to obtain diagnostic images.
• Administer intravenous contrast media using power injectors and monitor patients for reactions.
• Assist Radiologist with complex sterile diagnostic procedures such as biopsies.
• Follow radiation protection principles to minimize exposure.
• Manage imaging data in PACS and complete study indexing in RIS.
• Document all procedures in medical records and radiology information systems.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and teamwork.

Schedule

• 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM shift
• Every other weekend required
• 12-hour shifts, approximately 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist, with experience within the last year.
• Current BLS certification.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and holds an advanced registry in Computed Tomography (CT).
• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required or maintenance of required hours of continued medical education.

Physical Demands / Working Conditions

• Work may be in a hospital fixed unit or ambulatory mobile unit.
• Potential exposure to radiation and high-voltage equipment.
• Potential exposure to contagious patients.
• Occasional lifting/moving of equipment or patients exceeding 10 lbs.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks
