Radiologic Technologist - Computed Tomography

Location

  • Warren, Michigan

Contract Length

  • 17 weeks

Job Summary

  • Perform computerized tomographic (CT) radiological procedures under general supervision.
  • May perform general diagnostic radiology examinations.
  • Explain examination procedures to patients and prepare them for the exam.
  • Review clinical data and obtain additional patient medical history as needed.
  • Prepare procedure room and replenish supplies.
  • Analyze anatomical structures, set up equipment, and perform CT scans.
  • Manually control equipment to obtain proper diagnostic images.
  • Administer intravenous contrast media, monitor patients for reactions, and provide immediate care if needed.
  • Assist Radiologist with complex sterile diagnostic procedures such as biopsies.
  • Apply radiation protection principles (shielding, dose reduction, ALARA techniques).
  • Manage imaging quality and documentation in PACS and Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with the healthcare team.
  • Complete all necessary clinical and billing documentation.

Work Schedule

  • 12-hour shifts (7 PM to 7 AM)
  • Every other weekend
  • Block schedule with weekend coverage
  • No on-call required

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist within the last year.
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and holds an advanced registry in Computed Tomography (CT) or is registry-eligible.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
