Job Opportunity: Radiologic Technologist - Computed Tomography
Location
- Grand Blanc, Michigan
Job Summary
- Perform computerized tomographic (CT) radiological procedures under general supervision.
- May also perform general diagnostic radiology examinations.
- Prepare patients and explain examination procedures.
- Review clinical data and patient medical history as needed.
- Set up and operate CT equipment, including manual control to obtain diagnostic images.
- Administer intravenous contrast media using power injectors and monitor patients for reactions.
- Assist Radiologists with complex sterile diagnostic procedures such as biopsies.
- Apply radiation protection principles (shielding, dose reduction, ALARA techniques).
- Manage imaging quality and documentation in PACS and RIS systems.
- Complete all required clinical and billing documentation.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service and teamwork standards consistently.
Schedule
- 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, Midnights)
- Every other weekend required
- Total hours per week: 36
Contract Length
- 14 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist, with experience within the last year
- Registered or registry-eligible with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) with advanced registry in Computed Tomography (CT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent, or must maintain required hours of continued medical education
- Proficient in computerized tomographic radiological procedures
- Skilled in CT scan operation
- Experienced in intravenous contrast media administration
Preferred Qualifications
- Procedure experience preferred (not mandatory).
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Work may be in a hospital fixed unit or ambulatory mobile unit.
- Potential exposure to radiation and high-voltage equipment; proper precautions required.
- Possible exposure to contagious patients.
- Occasional lifting/moving of equipment or patients over 10 lbs.
