Location

Schedule

• Night shift
• 40 hours per week
• Evening schedule: Monday-Friday, 2:30 PM–11:00 PM
• Rotation with backup call

Job Summary

• Provides diagnostic CT services to inpatients, outpatients, and Emergency Department patients under the direction of a supervising radiologist.
• Focuses on safe, prompt, efficient, and cost-effective CT services.

Key Responsibilities

• Position patients correctly and use proper immobilization techniques.
• Perform CT scans using correct technical factors, shielding, and protocols.
• Perform CT angiography and post-processing tasks including 3D, MIPS, VR, vessel analysis, and MPR.
• Follow CT department workflow, including patient identification, history review, order verification, image transfer, documentation, and charge capture.
• Operate CT support equipment such as a workstation, pressure injector, PACS, and EPIC.
• Initiate IVs for contrast administration per department policy.
• Prepare and transport patients as needed and monitor patient condition during procedures.
• Work with the radiologist to tailor protocols to patient exam requirements.
• Document patient history, charges, allergic reactions, IV extravasations, and unusual occurrences.
• Maintain license and continuing education.
• Administer contrast media after proper patient screening and consult the provider as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in Illinois
• CT Technologist (1 year of experience)
• CT Technologist experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ARRT (R)
• ARRT (CT) or Certified Nerve Conduction Technologist (CNCT)
• Certificate of completion from a radiologic technology program or college diploma in a related field
