Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac ICU
Location
- Rochester, Minnesota
Job Overview
- Provide direct patient care, patient/family education, and coordinate transitions of care.
- Care for critically ill adult patients with altered cardiac function and hemodynamic instability.
- Function within a professional nursing practice model, accountable for planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of nursing care.
- Provide leadership through precepting, informal leadership roles, and quality improvement efforts.
- Delegate patient care based on skill level, experience, patient acuity, and resource availability.
- Participate in committees or projects as needed.
Contract Details
- Length: 13 weeks
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour day/night rotation (0700-1930 and 1900-0730)
- Schedule: Every third weekend required
- Floating: Required as needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Minnesota
- Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience, including experience within the last year
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN travel experience
- ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience
- Advanced hemodynamic monitoring and management experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
