RN - ICU - Travel

Location: Morristown, New Jersey
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: PM (7 PM - 7 AM)
Hours: 12 hours/day, 48 hours/week

Job Summary

Provide competent nursing care in a high acuity step-down ICU unit. Perform thorough and systematic patient assessments across all age groups (Pediatric to Geriatric). Deliver direct patient care, demonstrate knowledge of emergency procedures and equipment, and maintain accurate documentation of nursing processes and patient progress. Support patient and family education, including pre-operative and postoperative instructions. Ensure patient safety by following National Patient Safety Goals and using proper transfer techniques. Contribute to the perioperative team by prioritizing and directing patient care based on patient needs and condition changes.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Jersey
• Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Additional Information

• Experience in a high acuity step-down unit is required
• Must be able to work night shifts (7 PM to 7 AM)
• Physical requirements as defined by Occupational Safety standards

• Support pre-admission testing processes and evaluate orders for appropriateness
