Registered Nurse - CVICU
Location

- Night shift: 3 shifts of 12 hours each, plus every other weekend
- Contract length: 8 weeks
- Hours per week: 36
Unit Description
- Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) with 28 beds
- Fast-paced environment utilizing state-of-the-art technology and nationally recognized standards of care
- Care for pre-operative and immediate post-operative cardiovascular patients, including open heart surgery, heart transplants, ventricular assist device implantation, and interventional/structural heart procedures
- Management of acute cardiology and heart failure patients, often on inotropic support or temporary ventricular devices
- Experience with Impellas, IABP, ECMO, C-Mag, and upcoming Total Artificial Hearts
- Skilled management of invasive lines, medications, hemodynamic monitoring, continuous dialysis, ultrafiltration, and ventricular assist devices (permanent and temporary)
- Emphasis on patient safety and good outcomes supported by leadership and interdisciplinary teams
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- Minimum of 1 year float experience, including float experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience in Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
