RN - Cath Lab Travel Nurse

Location: Morristown, New Jersey
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (7 AM - 8 PM)
Hours: 12 hours/day, 36 hours/week
On Call: Required

Job Overview

• Provide competent nursing care to patients in the Cath Lab, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases.
• Perform thorough and systematic patient assessments across all age groups (Pediatric to Geriatric).
• Deliver direct patient care and support the perioperative team by prioritizing patient needs and responding to changes in condition.
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation of nursing processes, patient progress, and education.
• Demonstrate knowledge and use of emergency equipment and procedures.
• Promote patient and family-centered care with professionalism, courtesy, and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals, including Universal Protocol and patient identification standards.
• Use safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics.
• Assess patient understanding of procedures and provide education accordingly.
• Support timely completion and evaluation of Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience, including experience within the last year
• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Physical Requirements

• Must meet physical demands as defined by Occupational Safety standards.

Additional Information

• This position is for an Interventional RN in the Cath Lab.
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
