RN - ICU - Travel

Location: Morristown, New Jersey
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: PM (7 PM - 7 AM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours (12-hour shifts, 3 days per week)

Job Overview

• Provide competent nursing care in a high acuity step-down ICU unit.
• Perform thorough, systematic assessments across all patient age groups (Pediatric to Geriatric).
• Deliver direct patient care and support the patient care team.
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation of nursing processes and patient progress.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skill in emergency equipment and procedures.
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals, including Universal Protocol and patient identification.
• Use safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics.
• Individualize patient care based on surgical procedures and anesthesia type.
• Conduct pre-operative and postoperative assessments and patient/family education.
• Support timely completion and evaluation of Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey
• Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
