RN - Operating Room Circulator

Job Summary

• Provide leadership in coordinating and delivering quality, compassionate patient care.
• Utilize the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and patient/family teaching.
• Communicate pertinent patient/family information effectively to the healthcare team.
• Participate in identifying and implementing solutions for variances from patient goals.

Schedule

• Three 12-hour day shifts (7:00 am – 7:30 pm)
• One 12-hour weekend shift every 5 weeks
• One 12-hour call shift every 8 weeks
• Approximately 36 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Patient preparation and room readiness
• Opening supplies
• Charting (services must be listed on the resume)
• Approximately 40% of cases involve orthopedic volume

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Michigan
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room Circulator experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
