CT Technologist - North Carolina (Chapel Hill)

Job Summary

• Perform procedures and tests using Computerized Tomography (CT) equipment to acquire and analyze diagnostic data.
• Verify patient identification, obtain patient history, document pregnancy status for patients of childbearing age, and ensure patient safety.
• Obtain CT images per protocols, manipulate images, perform multi-planar and 3D reconstructions, and select appropriate window and level settings.
• Administer oral and IV contrast to adult and pediatric patients following protocols, including establishing IV lines and checking lab values before contrast injection.
• Maintain and operate PACS systems for image transfer, verify image transmission, manage orders, and ensure accurate charge and demographic information.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, produce quality diagnostic images, review patient charts for correlation, and document incidents for improvement.
• Precept new employees and students.
• Work consistent night shifts, 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in North Carolina.
• Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year.
• Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science.
• Registration with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences (ARRS).
• Advanced certification in CT.
• Current competency in Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS).

Experience

• Prior education, training, and experience sufficient to perform assigned CT technologist tasks.

• 40 hours per week
