CT Technologist – Hillsborough, North Carolina

Job Summary

• Perform procedures and tests using Computerized Tomography (CT) equipment to acquire and analyze diagnostic data.
• Verify patient identification, obtain patient history, document pregnancy status for patients of childbearing age, and ensure patient safety and understanding.
• Obtain CT images per protocols, manipulate images, perform multi-planar and 3D reconstructions, and select appropriate window and level settings based on anatomy.
• Administer oral and IV contrast to adult and pediatric patients following protocols, including establishing IV lines and checking lab values for contrast eligibility.
• Manage image transfer and quality control using PACS and related systems, verify and segment images, complete or cancel orders as needed, and ensure accurate charge information.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, review patient charts for correlation, document incidents for improvement, and precept new employees and students.
• Work schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday; 3 shifts of 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM).

Contract Length

• Approximately 14 weeks.

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in North Carolina.
• Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year.
• Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science.
• Registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences (ARRS).
• Advanced certification in CT required.
• Registry status must be obtained within one year of employment and maintained with continuing education annually.
• Current competency in Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS).

Experience

• Prior education, training, and experience sufficient to perform assigned CT technologist tasks.

Shift Details

• Day shift, 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week.

Additional Information

• Candidates must be willing to work a weekend schedule (Fri-Sun).
• 48-hour guarantees may be considered.
