Registered Nurse - Telemetry (Travel)

- Contract travel nursing position
- Contract length: 14 weeks
Shift & Hours
- 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, every other week (EOW)
- Approximately 34.5 hours per week
Job Description
- Provide safe, competent, quality nursing care to a designated group of patients using nursing theory, research, and evidence-based practice.
- Assess and evaluate patient care needs, applying critical thinking in patient management.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Educate patients and caregivers on care plans, health promotion, disease prevention, and transition of care.
- Manage patient assignments and resources effectively within a modified primary nursing care delivery model.
- Role model relationship-centered care through patient engagement activities such as bedside shift reports, purposeful rounding, medication review, and discharge planning.
- Maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and families, respecting cultural diversity and patient preferences.
- Participate in quality and safety initiatives, including process improvement, peer review, and compliance with institutional standards.
- Perform charge nurse duties as assigned, including coordination of supplies and staffing resources.
- Document nursing care accurately and thoroughly in compliance with regulatory and legal standards.
- Support professional development by advancing clinical competence, ethical decision-making, and participation in nursing committees and initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York
- Minimum 2 years of Telemetry nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience in charge nurse roles
- Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience
