Registered Nurse - Neuro Unit
Location
- Peoria, Illinois

- Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- 12-hour shifts, approximately 36 hours per week
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide professional nursing care to a designated group of patients using the nursing process and current nursing practices.
- Perform initial patient assessments upon admission and develop individualized plans of care based on patient and family needs.
- Implement and modify nursing interventions and patient care procedures as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care.
- Ensure patient and employee safety by identifying and addressing hazards and incidents.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members and provide constructive feedback to support professional development.
- Identify personal learning needs and pursue appropriate solutions.
- Fulfill all departmental competency requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
- Minimum 3 years of neurology nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience in Neuro Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing
