Physical Therapist - Therapy CATR

Location: Danville, Illinois
Employment Type: Clinical-Allied
Setting: Outpatient
Shift: Day (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
Hours: 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Evaluate and treat patients of all ages, modifying plans of care as appropriate.
• Serve as a clinical resource and role model for staff and students.
• Design and adjust plans of care integrating goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge plans.
• Educate patients, families, caregivers, students, and healthcare providers using effective teaching methods.
• Perform examinations using reliable and valid methods relevant to patient complaints and history.
• Screen patients to determine the need and effectiveness of therapy services.
• Monitor and provide feedback to support personnel delivering care.
• Complete documentation and charging in therapy EMR daily.
• Apply therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, interferential, iontophoresis, and taping techniques.
• Communicate patient progress and treatment recommendations to referring providers.
• Evaluate impairments related to orthopedic and neurologic conditions and complete objective testing (range of motion, strength, functional tasks).
• Demonstrate safe body mechanics and assist with patient transfers as needed.
• Maintain respect, empathy, and engagement with patients and colleagues.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Illinois
• Minimum of 1 year of Physical Therapist experience within the last year
• At least a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Experience in an outpatient setting

Additional Information

• Position requires working Monday through Friday during daytime hours.
• Outpatient clinical environment.
• No prior travel experience required.
