Location: Jackson, Michigan
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 1845-0715 every other weekend, 3 shifts per week (12 hours each)
Hours per Week: 36

Job Summary

• Deliver life-support, resuscitation, monitoring, and various medical gases therapy to patients.
• Perform invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures for Intensive Care and General Practice Unit patients.
• Maintain clinical expertise across various departmental assignments.
• Communicate effectively with patients, co-workers, physicians, and other healthcare staff regarding patient care needs.
• Document all aspects of patient care accurately.
• Supervise, direct, and delegate tasks to Respiratory Therapists, orientees, externs, and students as assigned.
• Complete necessary and accurate patient billing information.

Required Qualifications

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year.
• Experience in supervisor roles.

Education

• Associate of Science Degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.

Licensure & Certification

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in the state of Michigan.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy (preferred but not required).
