Respiratory Therapist II - Pediatrics
Location
- Chapel Hill, North Carolina
Schedule
- Days
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour shifts
- May be required to work on-call days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid Pediatric Respiratory Therapist license in North Carolina
- Pediatric Respiratory Therapist (2 years of experience)
- Pediatric Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- NRP
- PALS issued by American Heart Association
- CPFT
- Advanced practice certificate to administer moderate sedation in Bronchoscopy Lab
- Experience in a hospital setting
- Oscillatory Ventilator experience within 5 years
- Respiratory Therapist experience
Experience / Clinical Background
- Experience working with NICU and PICU patients in a hospital setting for at least 2 years
- Oscillatory ventilator experience within the past 5 years

- Aerosol therapy
- Respiratory care procedures and treatments
- Arterial punctures
- Tracheostomy care and tracheostomy tube changes
- Endotracheal intubations and extubations
- Pulmonary function testing
- Pediatric and neonatal patient transport
- Advanced respiratory care procedures
- ECMO management
- Monitoring and weaning ventilator patients
