Medical Lab Tech Travel Opportunity

Location: West Bend, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Travel - Clinical Allied

Job Summary

• Perform laboratory procedures independently with minimal supervision, following established protocols.
• Responsible for quality control, instrument maintenance, specimen procurement, and processing.
• Perform timely blood collection to ensure availability of test results.
• Interpret and verify test results, recognizing and investigating abnormal or inconsistent results promptly.
• Communicate potential problems or delays to leadership immediately to avoid compromising patient care.
• Maintain clean and organized workstations.
• Utilize LIS, EMR, and other tools for special projects and documentation.
• Perform and document required quality control and instrument maintenance procedures, including corrective actions when necessary.
• Participate actively in training students and new employees, assisting in curriculum development.
• Complete all competency assessments and follow performance improvement plans as needed.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, addressing customer inquiries and concerns thoroughly.
• Suggest process improvements and participate in error detection and investigation.
• Provide evidence of continuing education participation annually.

Required Qualifications

• Medical Lab Technician (1 year of experience)
• Medical Lab Technician experience within the last year
• Associate's degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology with internship, or combined military experience and training that aligns with CLIA and CAP requirements

Work Schedule

• 3rd shift (night shift)
• 7 consecutive 10-hour days followed by 7 days off (7/70 schedule)
• 70 hours per week

Contract Length

• Approximately 14 weeks
