Medical Lab Tech
Location
- Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin
Contract
- 11 weeks
- 3rd shift
- 40 hours per week
- 10-hour shifts
Job Summary
- Performs laboratory procedures with minimal technical supervision.
- Responsible for quality control, instrument maintenance, specimen procurement and processing, and blood collection as needed.
- Interprets and verifies test results, investigates abnormal or inconsistent results, and reports potential problems promptly.
- Maintains clean and organized workstations.
- Supports training of students and new employees.
- Participates in error detection, investigation, documentation, and process improvement.
- Communicates effectively with leadership and coworkers, including timely reporting of issues or delays.
- Completes continuing education annually.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology with internship, or combined military experience and training aligned with CLIA and CAP requirements
- Medical Lab Technician (1 year of experience)
- Medical Lab Technician experience within the last year
