Cardiovascular Sonographer

Schedule

• Days
• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-procedure patient care, including patient assessment and emergency cardiac care
• Generate ultrasound images of the heart and/or vascular structures
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment, including daily calibration and quality assurance monitoring
• Prepare procedure rooms and equipment between procedures
• Monitor and record patient information, maintain report storage/data systems, and prepare charge-entry reports
• May assist with staff training and education
• May assist with post-procedure transport

Required Qualifications

• Valid Cardiac Sonographer license in North Carolina
• Minimum of 2 years of Cardiac Sonographer experience
• Cardiac Sonographer experience within the last year
• Current BLS certification
• RDCS certification
• One of the following certifications:

  • RCS certification
  • ACS certification
  • RCCS certification
• Completion of a twelve (12) month ultrasound program
• Experience with Epic

• Previous Epic experience is required
• Worker may be floated to another location as needed
