Registered Nurse - Hospice

Location

• Morristown, New Jersey

Schedule

• Day shift
• 5 days per week
• 8-hour shifts
• Every other weekend
• Float to different counties as needed

Contract Length

• 21 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Jersey
• Hospice (2 years of experience)
• Hospice experience within the last year
• BLS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of RN experience

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients for hospice appropriateness, learning needs, and progress toward goals
• Develop and revise patient and family plans of care
• Complete admission, discharge, and revisit documentation within required timeframes
• Provide case management, including care planning, scheduling, and interdisciplinary communication
• Maintain safe medication management and reconcile medications
• Participate in staff meetings, performance improvement activities, and orientation or mentorship of new employees
