Description
Registered Nurse — Emergency Department
Location
- Urbana, Illinois
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Schedule
- Night shift
- 12-hour shifts
- 36 hours per week
- Midday shift window: 12:00 PM–12:30 AM
- Two call shifts per 6-week schedule period
- 2-week nights rotation required for all travelers
- No block scheduling
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Illinois
- 3 years of Emergency Department experience
- Emergency Department experience within the last year
- BLS issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification
- PALS issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN
- Trauma Level 2 or higher experience preferred
- TNCC highly preferred
Role Overview
- Provides nursing care in the emergency department
- Performs patient assessment and develops care plans
- Implements and modifies nursing interventions based on ongoing evaluation
- Maintains accurate patient documentation
- Collaborates with providers, patients, families, and staff
- Supports patient and staff safety
