Schedule

• Day shift
• 36 hours per week
• Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Variable shifts and on-call duties may be assigned to meet department needs

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Role Overview

• Registered Radiologic Technologist supporting invasive cardiology and invasive radiology procedures
• Assists the physician during procedures and provides patient care, comfort, safety, and confidentiality
• Performs essential radiologic technologist functions in a procedural setting

Required Qualifications

• Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Illinois
• Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
• 1 year of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• ARRT (R)
• Associate's degree in a related field or certificate in radiologic technology

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous radiologic technology experience in a procedural setting
• Experience with interventional neurology

Key Clinical Duties

• Administers contrast material as directed, including via existing IV line or venipuncture and IV placement
• Assesses patients for allergies and responds to hypersensitivity or allergic reactions
• Supports peripheral vascular work, venous central lines, tube changes, embolization, venous thrombectomy, dialysis-related procedures, and tube access/change procedures
• Maintains a sterile field during procedures
• Pulls supplies for procedures
• Documents accurately and completely
