Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Mississippi
- Post Partum (2 years of experience)
- Post Partum experience within the last year
- BLS
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Job Responsibilities
- Provide postpartum nursing care using the nursing process
- Complete assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation in collaboration with the Patient Care Coordinator
- Document care thoroughly and communicate patient information to the care team
- Support care for high-risk, fast-paced postpartum patients, including couplet care, C-sections, natural deliveries, and hysterectomy patients
- Float to labor and delivery to assist with tasks if needed
Additional Details
- Must be able to lift, handle, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
- Care includes working with infants and supporting family-centered care practices

Hattiesburg is best known as the home of the University of Southern Mississippi, William Carey University and Camp Shelby, the largest National Guard training base east of the Mississippi River.
