RN Nephrology

Location

• Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Contract

• 13 weeks
• 36 hours per week
• 12-hour shifts

Role Summary

• Hospital-based nursing care for patients with a range of health problems
• Assigned patient care, medication administration, IV infusions and blood products, documentation, patient/family education, and coordination with support staff

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Oklahoma
• Nephrology experience within the last year
• 1 year of nephrology experience
• Med Surg experience
• Stepdown experience
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Current Basic Life Support certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Charge experience
• Central line care and management
• End of life care and management
• Dialysis site care and management
• Knowledge of HD catheter and fistula access protocols

Skills and Experience

• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services
• Ability to maintain good working relationships with other employees
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
• Some computer skills

Preferred

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher
• Charge experience
• Familiarity with central line care and management, Foley care and management, end-of-life care and management, and proper dialysis site care
