Description

RN ICU - Neurology

Location

  • Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Schedule

  • 12-hour shifts
  • 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Oklahoma
  • Neuro ICU (1 year of experience)
  • Neuro ICU experience within the last year
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Role Overview

  • Provides nursing care in a hospital setting for patients with conditions ranging from simple to complex
  • Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients
  • Documents patient responses and changes in physician orders
  • Assists with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatment
  • Monitors patient data and intervenes when necessary
  • Administers medications and manages intravenous infusions and blood products
  • Communicates care plans and discharge information to patients and families
  • Makes referrals for patient care needs and delegates tasks to support staff

  • Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
  • Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to respond to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
