Description

Registered Dietitian

Location

Jackson, Michigan

Contract

13 weeks

Schedule

  • Flexible start times from 6:00 am to 9:00 am
  • 8-hour shifts
  • 40 hours per week
  • Shift patterns may include 4x10s, 5x8s, or a combination

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RDN - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist license in Michigan
  • RDN - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist experience within the last year
  • Bachelor's degree in Dietetics or related field with completion of an ACEND-accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics and supervised practice program
  • Experience in an Acute Care, Inpatient Rehab, Long Term Acute Care, or Long Term Care setting
  • Experience with enteral and parenteral nutrition
  • Trained in completion of NFPE

Preferred Qualifications

  • ICU experience
  • Advanced Practice Certification

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide nutritional assessment, diagnosis, care planning, counseling, education, and outcome evaluation
  • Monitor food tolerances and nutritional intake
  • Collaborate with the health care team and communicate diet therapy updates or nutrition-related concerns
  • Document nutrition services in the medical record
  • Develop and conduct education programs and in-service classes
  • Supervise dietetic interns and students
  • Support patient foodservice and retail foodservice needs

Additional Information

  • Interviews conducted via MS Teams
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Must be able to follow oral and written instructions and perform arithmetic calculations
  • Role requires strong interpersonal communication skills
