Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Location

Hackensack, New Jersey

Schedule

  • Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM–6:00 PM
  • 5 x 8-hour shifts
  • No weekends, holidays, or on-call

Contract Length

  • 18 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in New Jersey
  • Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience within the last year
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • ARRT or NMTCB
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Experience

  • General Nuclear Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology experience
  • PET experience
  • CT experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform nuclear medicine and radionuclide procedures, including organ imaging and function studies
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals and radioactive tracer compounds
  • Calibrate equipment and assay radionuclides
  • Inspect radiopharmaceutical packages and maintain radioactive material records in compliance with regulations
  • Evaluate images for proper identification and diagnostic quality
  • Provide radiation protection and maintain contamination-free work conditions
  • Rotate into Cardiology and PET/CT assignments as needed
  • Complete clerical duties related to patient studies and scheduling
  • Support patient care using age- and needs-appropriate communication and service standards
