Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Illinois
OR - Operating Room (3 years of experience)
OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Education

Key Responsibilities

Provide nursing care to assigned patients using the nursing process
Complete patient assessments and develop care plans
Implement and update nursing interventions and procedures
Maintain accurate nursing documentation
Support patient and staff safety by reporting or correcting hazards and incidents
Prepare the operating room suite, including supplies, equipment, medications, and other needs
Transport and position patients for procedures
Assist the surgical team during procedures
Transfer patients to PACU or the receiving unit and give handoff to the receiving RN
