Description

RN 3S Comp-Med Stepdown

Location

Cincinnati, Ohio

Contract

13 weeks

Schedule

3x12 nights
Up to every other weekend

Unit Overview

Medical-surgical stepdown unit
Cares for patients with acute MI, cardiac arrhythmias, cardiomyopathy, CHF, and other low-risk cardiac/chest pain diagnoses
Provides cardiac monitoring and general medical care across multiple specialties
Staff receive training in non-invasive positive pressure ventilation
Unit provides infusion therapy, transfusions, injections, and central line care
Dedicated stroke unit

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Ohio
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
Telemetry experience
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

NIH stroke scale certification
Leadership experience such as Charge RN or Preceptor

Education

Diploma of Nursing

Additional Notes

All RNs on the unit are NIH stroke scale certified
