RN - Med/Surg - Travel

Valid RN license in New Jersey
Med Surg (1 year of experience)
Med Surg experience within the last year
BLS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree

Role Overview

Provides direct nursing care for a med/surg travel assignment
Performs comprehensive patient assessments across the lifespan, from pediatric to geriatric
Documents nursing care, patient progress, and patient education accurately and completely
Follows patient safety standards, including universal protocol and use of 2 patient identifiers
Supports patient education and pre-/post-operative assessment and teaching
Assists with completion and review of pre-admission testing orders
Uses safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics
