Radiologic Technologist - Computed Tomography
Job Overview
- 13-week contract
- 36 hours per week
- 3 shifts of 12 hours each
- Shift: 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM, every other weekend
Required Qualifications
- CT Technologist experience within the last year
- 1 year of experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- BLS
- ARRT (CT) or American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans and may perform general diagnostic radiology exams
- Prepare patients and explain procedures
- Review clinical data and patient history before exams
- Administer intravenous contrast media and monitor for reactions
- Assist with sterile procedures and biopsies
- Follow radiation protection practices
- Complete imaging documentation and study indexing in the radiology information system
Work Environment
- May work in a hospital or ambulatory mobile unit
- May be exposed to radiation, high-voltage equipment, and contagious patients
- May occasionally lift or move equipment or patients over 10 lbs
Additional Notes
- Level II trauma center
- Procedure experience is a plus
- OR experience is a plus
- Must maintain required continuing medical education hours
