Radiation Therapist
Location
- Morristown, New Jersey
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- 37.5 hours per week
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiation Therapist license in New Jersey
- Radiation Therapist (1 year of experience)
- Radiation Therapist experience within the last year
- ARRT
Preferred Experience
- Experience using IMRT, 3D, SRS, SBRT, CBCT, and Align RT
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver radiation therapy treatments and operate treatment units
- Perform daily and monthly linac and CT quality assurance
- Perform IGRT, SBRT treatment, and portal imaging
- CT simulate patients and construct immobilization devices as needed
- Use IV contrast for simulation when needed
- Perform respiratory gating and ACQ simulation
- Construct electron and cerrobend blocks when needed
- Complete procedure verification assessments in MOSAIQ before simulation
- Train therapists in CT/simulation and related duties
- Maintain and verify treatment management records in MOSAIQ
- Attend weekly chart rounds
- Follow department policies, safety standards, and radiation protection procedures
- Operate CT on rails for IGRT delivery
- Maintain daily treatment records and document treatment plan changes
