Description
RN UP - Card-Pulm M/S
Overview
- Registered Nurse (RN) role in Card-Pulm M/S.
- Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM.
- 36 hours per week.
- Contract length: 13 weeks.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Illinois.
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience with at least 1 year of experience.
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year.
- BLS issued by the American Heart Association.
- ACLS issued by the American Heart Association.
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Cardiology experience.
- Trauma experience.
- Experience with Epic.
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN.
Clinical Focus
- Care for acute and chronically ill cardiac and pulmonary patients.
- Cardiac/Tele experience.
- Trauma 1 experience.
- EPIC experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage patient care, including assessment, care planning, interventions, evaluation, and discharge teaching.
- Administer medications, perform IV venipuncture, provide blood administration, and monitor labs.
- Document care in the EMR.
- Support team huddles, delegation, conflict management, and professional communication.
- Provide basic patient care such as turning and toileting.
